Steelburner Custom Metal Works is dedicated to efficient, aesthetic, meaningful creations and collaborations with our customers. We work with designers, contractors, tradesmen, and homeowners to bring strength and beauty to every room, home, commercial building, and structure we work on.

For more than 20 years, we have been learning, growing and building in the Four Corners area, including Mancos (where we’re located), Cortez, Durango, Dolores, and Bayfield. We have developed expertise in structural welding, fabrication, ornamental ironworks, forged residential “wrought iron,” equipment repair, custom off-road accessories, on-site repair, and fabrication, decorative patina, interior décor and home furnishings, design elements, shop drawings, and layout.

Steelburner Metal Works: About the Owner

Travis is a Durango native. Growing up around the mighty Animas River, the “river of lost souls,” and the towering Rocky Mountains ingrained a perspective of humility and grandeur which can be felt in his workmanship. Given this background, he strives to combine simple design with elegance.

Travis has learned from master metal workers in diverse fields including machine fabricators, structural welders, ornamental metal craftsmen, blacksmiths, and machinists. He also has training and experience in the construction and building trades allowing for seamless collaboration with contractors and other tradesmen.
